That's the California Achievement Test. It's a pretty popular test and one that I use. In NC we are required to do a standardized achievement test every year. It will cost you more this time of year since most people have already done or ordered their tests. You order your test, give it to the child and send the test back to the company. A computer grades it and sends the results back to you. It tells you in percentages how your child stands in Math, English, History and Science. I give the basic test which doesn't include History or Science because NC doesn't require it and the curriculum scope and sequences vary so much in these areas. The place I used this year is Bayside School Services out of the Outer Banks in NC. The other we have used is Thurbers Testing Services (I think that is their name). We were late ordering ours this year and Bayside was cheaper. You have to give both companies 3 weeks notice and it takes about 6 weeks to get the results back but that's about standard for this type of thing.
