two different texts. My older son first read through Conceptual
Physics by Paul Hewitt. We didn't have a workbook or anything, he
just read it. (He loved the concepts of physics, just not the math.)
This text is often used in colleges for non-science majors. I will
use it this fall for my second non-math son, but will probably also
get the workbook.
My older son then worked through the Apologia textbook and
really enjoyed it. The first 1 or 2 modules were tough if I
remember. Toward the end, he got a bit lost on the math (he was
also experiencing senioritis), but did well on the concepts. I have
known several other students who have also liked both of these
textbooks.
