The more I think about it, the more I think I'm wrong. DS has HS since 4th grade. He is graduating in a few weeks and I was putting finishing touches on his Transcript, but how do I credit "dual enrolment" classes?
I can't give him the regular 2 credits (2 semesters) that I gave him for the Biology and Chemistry classes that we did at home and then give him the 4 college credits he earned at CC in Physics as 4 high school credits ...can I? Won't I need to list them as 2 high school credits to level the field ?
On his transcript, I listed each subject taken under the appropiate grade level. Then in three columns beside each subject I listed: the final letter grade, # of credits, and completed date. For the 2 years he has taken CC classes I added the college name under that year's class subjects list and then added the classes he took there (at CC). If I do it this way I need to list the credits as 4 college credit hours and not 2 high school credits.
Do colleges really give more "weight" to kids taking CC classes in high school. This is like comparing apples to oranges. How do you co-mix these and equal high school, but not lower yourself away from the earned college classes.
