I also live in Alabama and wish I had more answers as well. It is very difficult to find the proper information. I was told by my son's principal (at his public school), when I withdrew him to be homeschooled; that we could call our local school board and set up for him to take the exit exams from the public school that he would have been attending if he were not homeschooled. I would suggest that you call your local school district and ask them. Good Luck....
