Saxon Calculus covers AP Calculus AB and some of the AP Calculus BC topics. If he gets completely through the text in one year, you could have him take the AP Calc AB exam next year. Then have him do work for AP Calc BC for his senior year.
From the textbook description it doesn't sound like Saxon Calculus alone covers all the topics you would need for two full years of Calculus, so you could try to find a 2nd year calc book to cover the rest of the BC material.
Your son could do the second year of Calculus and take the AP Calculus BC exam his senior year. On the transcript, you would list AP Calculus AB for his junior year math and AP Calculus BC for his senior year math.
Another option would be AP Statistics instead of a second year of Calculus. My math/engineering sons turned up their noses at that and wanted to stay with the second year of Calculus and take the BC exam senior year.
But other kids may want something different. HTH
