Welcome to AshleysAttic formerly Ashleysplaymates (named after my only dd) Historical offerings.. patterned after the originals from American girl.. I have been here at Vegsource now over 11 years buying and selling my personal homeschool items.. and as one of the original Dealers selling my doll outfits and Girls Historical outfits.. Note : when ordering flannel Nightgowns there is a small extra charge other then white/ivory cotton .. flannel is 100% cotton.. none of the Nightgowns are flame retardant...

I am now making a ball gown in upgraded cotton calico with solid contrasting underskirt,pinner and stomacher.. the overdress has a lined bodide .. with double layer of lace on the sleeve.. satin ribbon inbetween the lace on the sleeve.. satin ribbon bows on the stomacher.. and lace framing the neckline and down the front.. the underskirt is separate and wide full skirt able to hold several petticoats .. pinner hat has small loops to attach with bobby pins.. and drawstring purse completes the set ..

Addy: (CIVIL WAR)

This is a new offering for Ashley's Attic.. The Girls Civil War Dress and Pantalets.
The dress is made to your Length measurement.. of mid calf (which is the length the young girls wore then) .. very full double layered skirt .. and the top has a large lace trimmed collar and lace and trim on the bodice.. along with a double sleeve.. traditionally this was a detachable sleeve.. in the picture it is not .. but I will be happy to make the sleeve with an elastic around the elbow so it can be detached..
The dress is made of your choice of cotton calico with either white or ivory contrast.
Pantalets are 100% cotton with lace and ribbon trim.. to the ankle..

I would recommend purchasing a straw hat and letting your dd decorate it as a go along project with this dress.. Straw hats would be the most common hat for a young girl..

** the materials and trim on these make these more costly .. I use a suedecloth .. for washing .. but you will need to be careful of the beading ..
A small pack of the smaller beads is included with the doll dress for your dd to further bead as a project.. or make a headband.. ** you may request a small piece of the suedecloth to make a headband at no extra charge. when ordering the girls outfit.
The one belted dress the all over print material is NOT available it is shown for the belt.. which is now included in all the dresses.

Samantha's Cranberry Christmas dress available in Cranberry Satin or Red Taffeta..white lace trim.. white ribbon .. Hair bow to match.. and drawstring purse..(also available in summer cotton weight )
This dress is long sleeves with cuffs .. and drop waist .. and gathered skirt .. to give it more of a Victorian look and ribbon trim just like the original dress.. around the hips.. with loops to keep the ribbon belt in place..

Samantha's Meet dress .. this can be made in cotton like the picture.. this is a homespun cotton .. lightweight cotton .. not as elegant as other cottons but the only brown checks close to Samantha's I could find.. the heart pin at the collar IS NOT INCLUDED .. (this was made for onstage theatre group) includes very full puffy victorian sleeves.. cuffed.. standup collar .. ribbon belt .. and matching hair bow and drawstring purse

**personally I would choose another fabric for regular use.. a nice washable higher grade cotton.. or taffeta.. would be pretty .. the children's theatre wanted it as close to Samantha's original dress as possible..

I would suggest mid -calf.. but the hem lenght is your choice..

Regency (Jane Austen/ Kate Greenaway early 1800's era)
NEW offering .. Early 1800's was the time of Jane Austen and the Kate Greenaway dresses .. Little girls dresses are a bit different from adults .. and I am glad the Pattern drafter made them so not just little duplicates of the adults.. where as the adult dresses are basically only very gathered in the back.. the girls are slightly gathered all around.. the shoulder seam drops about 2 inches from center.. and the necklines are higher then adults of that time period.. All historically correct..

Dress of Solid material with Ribbon belt.. 4 buttons down the back .. and belt loops so it doesn't slide..matching drawstring purse. and short sleeves.. or plain long sleeves..

Anne at the Station .. is a Simple peterpan collar dress .. button back .. and fitted top pinafore .. the original colors in the movie were a drab green .. we took it up a notch to what you will see on the dolls from Prince Edward Island protraying "Anne"
