Hi...I agree with the previous poster. I would try some other methods before I give in to the calculator. When my son was in 3rd grade, he had a really hard time with multiplication tables. We had to slow down and take a while mastering the basics before we moved on. As a result, we are a little behind in math compared to what some people might be doing in his grade but that's ok! That is one of the great things about homeschooling!

I would back up. Go back and to the basics and make sure she can do those REALLY well. There is a company that puts out singing tapes with math facts...addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. My kids loved them! They are called "Audio Memory." They were a lifesaver with multiplication tables!

Im not sure what math you are using, but we use math-u-see. It's a good one especially for visual learners. The white board idea was a good one as well!
