| | Subject: | Did I let me son down? I feel like I have! | |

I am a mom to 6 children and all the kids have always homeschooled. My oldest is 20 and does well taking classes online and has even did a lot of cleps...He is very intellectual. However, the problem is with my 16 yr. old son, he is the one I feel I have failed. He is a respectful young man and I want the best for him I just don't know how to get him where he needs to be with all of his learning.. I know he has always been slower at all his school work. He was very hard to teach to read. He to this day is a terrible speller and not good at vocabulary. He is behind in math and seems to always forget what he just learned. He wants to graduate on time and has a motivation to do so when speaking about it. The trouble is I am at a loss as to what to teach him, how to teach him, and where to turn to. I am always so busy with all the younger children teaching I feel like I don't have enough time to help him. I wanted to try a online school, but he says to him that is the not his thing ever. I do know how what to teach him and to get him where he needs to be.. any advice is appreciated. I wish hs was just clear cut.. you got a set curriculum of what needs to be taught and it was easy to understand and teach..I don't want to let him down.. and I realize it has always been harder for him to learn and even remember what he learned.. Help!!!
