Hi,
I just wanted to give you one other website you may want to check out. It's www.daveramsey.com My dh & I went through the dot com bust and nearly ended up living in a homeless shelter at one point. My kids were 4 1/2, 3 and 6 mos at the time. And we wanted to homeschool. Like another poster said, cry out to the Lord for help. I was so mad at my dh for sitting on his butt doing nothing at this time while I worked at the church daycare bringing home $6/hr. It wasn't even enough to cover rent much less anything else. Everyone we thought were friends and all of our family scorned us. It was awful and I found myself hating my dh. That's not a good place to be for a Christian wife and mother!

Finally, my dh found a job, but we were hurting financially. As of this writing, we have not fully recovered from this time. However, our marriage and our finances are so much better after following Dave Ramsey's advice. He has a radio show so you can listen to him for free. You should be able to find a station near you using his search engine on his website. If not, call them. They are very helpful and they have counselors you can talk with.

One last thing, b/c $$ is tight, I would see if you can talk to a counselor at a local church for FREE. I did this and it just helped to get another human's perspective. My counselor was a "grandmotherly" type who actually told me to give my dh an ultimatum. Get a job by such and such date or I'm leaving and taking the kids. So I did. And it worked. As the husband and head of the household, he is to provide for your family financially. A godly man needs to sit him down and talk with him. Do you know of anyone your dh would listen to?

I've probably rambled long enough. You both sound overwhelmed and stressed out. I know the feeling. I'll keep you in my prayers.

And please check out www.daveramsey.com. Following Dave's baby steps and getting on a financial plan together got us talking again. It also gave us a lot of hope which we didn't have at the time.
