Subject:	Slooow, stalling 10 year old. Help!

Hi,
I have a 17 year old and a 10 year old. I have homeschooled since the beginning, with my eldest daughter "trying" school for short periods a couple of times. My 17, almost 18 year old has had ongoing medical and emotional problems and is very, very difficult at this stage. I am praying she finishes her work so she can go to the colleges which have accepted her! In any case, I don't know if this is my 10 year olds way of feeling in control or what, but she takes forever to finish any chore or task, regardless of her motivation or enjoyment. For example, she will take so long getting ready, she has missed movies, playdates, etc. When she is ready in a reasonable time (it happens occasionally) she does great work and is a pleasure, but I am so frustrated trying to get her on task in a timely manner and I am already burned out from dealing with my teen! Any advice? Thank you.
