Kim, You are not a failure. I read your post yesterday and don't usually reply to posts but my heart goes out to you. I haven't h/s as many years as you but I have been where you are. I've had to sit down at times and try to simplify and think things out. For one thing, in reality, kids in public school do not do 7 subjects every day. Schools usually have "blocks" where they will do some subjects 2 days a week and another subject 2 days a week. And P.E. maybe 1-2 times a week. Would it be possible for you to do something like that? Another thing that is hard is if your husband is coming home at mid-afternoon. It would be hard to have the house in order in the middle of the day. My kids have books and projects everywhere til suppertime. Maybe you could have the kids do a kind of pick-up/organizing just before he arrives. Do you have friends you could talk with or pray with you? Other Mom's ideas have been a great resource for me. Even seeing relaxed homeschooler's kids doing great helped me to relax and not get up at 5:30 a.m. Yes I used to do that too. I'll pray for you but don't be so hard on yourself. Geneva
