did you find out anything? testing is fairly easy; just don't stop the search for an answer and keep looking for a competent, knowledgeable doctor; that is half the battle. the other half is managing it. I was given 3 different diagnosis and I finally realized celiac disease was the actual culprit; it can be managed but do your homework and don't depend on the docs to give accurate info. Since everyone's system reacts differently, there really isn't a "right" way to manage it. I can't eat fruits, juices, lettuce and some other vegetables, and some meats, and I am lactose intolerant as well. My meals are very blah and I don't eat hardly anything when I travel to avoid any possible issues which keep me within feet of a bathroom; it sounds boring to others but eating is at the bottom of my list of "fun" activities. I have had this for 24 years now; it was depressing in the beginning; watch out for depression and get help with that too.
