I ditto that comment....have him tested for Celiac disease. It's one of the most common misdiagnosed diseases in America. We are EXTREMELY behind when it comes to Celiac....in Italy, all children are screened by the age of six. It is actually a very common disease, but American doctors still believe it is extremely rare. It often gets misdiagnosed as IBS, or like in your case, the patient is eventually told that it's "all in your head". The time from symptoms to dx in Italy is 2 weeks, in America it is 10 years.

Do some research, be prepared to fight for your son b/c most docs don't know a thing about Celiac...and get him tested. Good luck!
