I have dealt with similiar circumstances with my 2 sons. I've seen them in trouble when I couldn't do anything to help them. Grown men now hanging out with the wrong people just to have companionship they didn't get as young men. The only thing that changed them wasn't tough love, or counseling like the world would like you to believe. Not that those are bad things. But when my sons trusted Jesus as their saviour is when true change took place. And what the Lord does he does it forever. Good preaching out of God's Word not a revised version, convicting preaching is the answer. Even christian families have bad influences so watch out for that. I know your pain, but believe me the Lord is the only answer not youth groups. God said His Word would not come back void and His Word is alive. Trust that. I've seen it with my own eyes the night my sons got saved. Pray for him always. Point him to the Lord.
