Tapestry of Grace is definately for you. We have been using TOG for the past nine years and I have had to work on and off during this time and TOG was a lifesave. With my older ones I just give them their assignments for the week and off they go. We try to sit down for discussion questions sometime during the week and the Teacher's notes even have the answers to those. I do try to familiarize my self with the material sometime over the weekend.(an hour tops). With my younger one I sometimes have to read some of the history books to him but he is a reluctant reader. Since the literature books are for his age he is able to read those on his own and answer the literature questions in the student activity pages.
The main thing I would caution is not to try to do everything listed. Pick and choose what works for you. I usually assign the core history assignments, literature and church history. That seems to be enough for our schedule.
Hope this helps.
