Yes, I used it as a reference material. Whenever ? would come up as to why spelled that way or I ?ed it myself I'd look it up. Also used it later, as my homeschooling years have come to an end, when I felt as though a high schooler needed assistance in spelling. I'd ask them on Monday, try and write down all words that would fit one particular spelling rule then collect their list from them 5 to 7 days later. Something that they would have to notice when reading ANYTHING. I'd also have them document where they found their listing preparing them for documentation in science. Just an idea that I hope helps.
