Hi Lisa, I've been homeschooling for 9 years and just discovered History Odyssey last year. I love it! It's great for teaching the different grade levels at the same time, yet all on the same time period. The only thing I didn't like was that the lessons at the 3 different levels did not necessarily correspond with each other. However, I followed the sequence of the lowest level, and jumped around with the other levels to match topics. It really didn't take more than a few minutes to match up the lessons by topic and worked out great. We did some read-aloud time at the youngest child's level and then let the older ones do their individual reading and assignments at their levels. I also picked historical novels to match each time period (Sonlight is a great source of good historical novels) and we did read-alouds each evening to correspond to the historical time period. It was our best year for history!
