I have a son who has been diagnosed with Asberger's. The food allergy thing is REAL and may or may not be what is happening to all your sons. Finding a doctor who gets it all will be a miracle, but I also believe that God can do miracles and each day I see them happening. Wheat allergy or gluten allergy is what we have narrowed it down to. After three years of my son telling me he is allergic to wheat, I finally took him off of it. I finally listened. He's nine now. I might be wrong on this, but what I understand is that wheat products no longer are "bred" with the proper enzymes, so it basically firments in their little stomachs. What happens when we drink fermented beverages? We act autistic! Drunk is the more accurate term for it. It is amazing how wheat changes the hand flapping and spinning to out of control. Plus a lot of Sensory Therapy and other types of therapy, but the food allergy thing was a major turing point for us. My doctor dissed the idea, but I listened to my son and finally made some changes. It took a while but I finally realized that it was real and so did my husband. Don't let this diagnosis scare you, but take the food allergy seriously and buy them all enzymes for digestion. Buy good ones, it's amazing how much it helps. Get early intervention services for your kids and especially sensory and speech therapy. Also, Omega3 oils had a huge effect on him as well. Good luck, Lainie
