We have used it for one year, and we did get a small group of students together once a week for discussion. We found it needed supplemented in the history area. Because it's so reading intensive, we opted to buy some Middle Ages dvd's from The Teaching Company to give them a good sweep historically of the time period we were covering (we were doing Omnibus II). It proved to be a great fit, but we decided to meet twice/week when we started that.
The discussions were generally quite good, but needed promptings from the leader. I agree it's a good program, and there are great benefits to group discussion.
