Hi. I'm not familiar with TOG, but I have used MFW for K and 1st. What grade are you going to begin? MFW does the lesson planning for you. K and 1st are VERY light. K took us about 20-30 minutes each day. 1 takes 30-90 minutes depending on how long it takes your child to write and draw, but then you add your math and extra recommended reading from the library. We are planning to use Adventures for 2nd grade. You can view discussions on their message board for more information.

If you are using K or 1, I highly recommend following their math plan even though it is different. I tried switching around with different curriculums, and came back to the MFW method. It is thorough and inexpensive.
