Don't know anything about Right Start. We use MUS for my K and 2nd grader. One DD loves it, one is luke warm, but she's not crazy about math anyway. It is easy to understand and easy to teach. We watch the dvd together, do a few problems together and they're off. Regrouping and multiplication have been a breeze. We are just finishing Gamma. No complaints. Good luck!
