My concern about TOG is just the opposite. We are currently using MFW (my father's world) and I like that I'm in the drivers seat with most of it but then each of them, depending on grade, have their own work to do after the teaching is over. I'm learning a ton myself that I missed in school and I'm really enjoying that. However, what draws me to TOG is that the children are involved with choosing their own assignments and that it can be independent work if I am unavailable which usually = pregnant. My question is then can all grades be taught together or do the children have to learn separately because they have separate reading assignments based upon grade? Is there a core teaching or only individual studies?
