I would have to say that TOG is very challenging. You can make it as tough or as easy as you want. The book list would be similar to Sonlight, lots of great books for reading history and literature. I have not used Sonlight, but I know that TOG has discussion ?'s and thinking ?'s for the high schooler. They also incorporate geography, writing, vocabulary (although, I would not say that this area is very strong), church history and art history. There may be more, but that is the basic idea. The church history for my ds last year in Rhetoric, was reading books that my dh used in college. Also, some of the philosophy reading was the same. (I forgot to mention that as a subject above, also government). Anyway, you can get a book list and all the information given for one week on-line at their website. It really helped me to print that out and just look it over a few days in a row. HTH, Lynne
