Hi, I used The Story of the World The Ancients and also bought the student workbook to go with it. I have two girls 2nd and 4th grade. We read the text one day and answer the oral questions, color maps (from the student text) or do the coloring sheet. Day 2 we write a narration with a picture. I use the public library and request the books ahead of time for a two week period, we read them during our "reading" portion of our school day. Both girls really love history and remember all kinds of info!
