Hi, I am very new to classical education and I have decided to take the plunge this year with my girls, grades 2,4 and 6th. I have read the Well Trained Mind and I am following most of what she recommends but I have some questions. My 6th grader is not a good writer/speller/reader I need to know what I can use to develop her grammar skills and writing skills. I plan on use narration a lot with her, I think that will help her tremendously and I got a wonderful spelling program from Logos Schools. Does anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate it. Also any advice for a newbie? I am feeling a little overwhelmed by it all. Excited but overwhelmed!
