Yesterday a girlfriend and I went to Kansas City...almost 3 hours drive. We went to see Jimmy Wayne in concert. He was incredible. The concert was a Jingle Bell Bash put on by a radio station in a KC club. 3 other bands were performing...This was totally out of character for us. We had to listen through the 3 performers before Jimmy took the stage at about 10:45. It was a "party" crowd. Jimmy Wayne doesn't drink or smoke...he never has. He performed his "I Love You This Much"...so many people there needed to hear of Jesus' love & sacrifice. After the show I bought a CD for our oldest son, and asked Jimmy to personalize it "To Craig" and told him that my teenage son is rebellious. He looked me in the eye and told me that he would pray for Craig. We got out of the club at 12:30a.m. and made our trip home. I told Jimmy that a little over a month ago we had not heard of him but I happened to find his music on the internet...then my girlfriend/coworker came across an article in a Guideposts "Angels" magazine then here we were at the concert! Oh and we ate at the Jerusalem Cafe...Good vegan food!
