(barely) got out of being on a jury for a capitol murder case! We were waiting in the jury pool room for over 2 hours, then got called up to the courtroom, and were told that the defendant had confessed that morning in the courtroom, and the judge had sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole!!!.......oh myyyyy, that was too close for comfort. I was able to get it deferred until about a month later, and then didn't have to go!!! Praise God!
