the plywood was so that it could be mounted, yet easy to store (not having to unmount it to put it in the cabinet...) you would have had to mount it close to the counter edge b/c of the handle anyways... I cannot help with those blades. sorry! :( my mill is an electric one..plug her and go! lol what was on tv??? LOL I'm wondering if you could maybe google or ebay for a manual?? hmmm Or contact the company for one??
