Being a military spouse myself, I would recommend that you talk to a recruiter. They always know the ins and outs of what you have to do to join under even the most bizarre circumstances. They will of course try to do everything they can to get your child to join, but as long as you stand firm about the fact that you are just trying to get some info about it, they should be better.
