I've noticed on ebay that payment is usually expected in 48 hours, there may not be a fast rule there, but something that sticks in my mind. Sellers there generally ship in anywhere from 3-10 days. I try to keep this in mind on other boards, not that ebay is the only guide..just the one that I know has certain expectations.
I too check my email frequently throughout the day....too much now that I have a laptop at the kitchen table where we homeschool! However I know some who barely check it 1-3 times in any given week....so it is a big spread.
I know I get rushed in the moment of transactions and time seems to stand still....part of our microwave/want it now society.
So, I would say to wait a couple days and then check back w/the other party.
