I can't even get my 10 year old to clean her room. I use to fight with my older kids to get them to clean and it was always an all out war. It was easier just to close their doors. Then one day (about the time that my oldest dd turned 12)she decided that she wanted a clean room, and she has kept it clean ever since(she's 17 now). My ds was the same way to a point..he's 15 now and I still give him grief about his room from time to time, but he cleans it on a weekly basis so I don't care. My 10 dd ..well I just quit. I'm just not going to fight with her anymore it's not worth the headache or my time. Sooner or later she will either decide that she wants a clean room or move out..LOL..so either way I get a clean room!LOLOLOL!!! If they contain the mess to their rooms, is it really worth the fighting? Just close their door! Chin up! :O) It won't be like this forever! Sorry I know that this wasn't any help! But if it at least gave you a chuckle then it did the job!! :O) Joy
