Actually, I really don't care for camping unless I have a trailer; my own b-room on wheels, a 'fridg and a hard roof to sleep under. Anyway, we had no choice. The carpet was 40+ yrs old and crumbling to dust. Allergies were so bad, I had to get cortizon. Since the carpet has been replaced, I'm good now. Hmmmm. If you decide to do this, I suggest to find cheap storage and put all non-essentials in it. We're lucky to have a basement which I have christened, "The Dungeon". Lucky to find anything in it at this point. I'm willing to bet that you would be more organized than I as the situation was out of my control. At least we can do laundry to some functional degree. sigh. My dh asked gave me a list of things lost that he must have.
