When my grandfather was 90 something, and dying of cancer at home, my mother (his daughter) would tend to him. She was trained as a nurse in the '40s; during the war. Even though she had been out of the workforce for years, I marvelled at her skill and confidence in keeping him as comfortable as possible. Her training seemed to all come back to her when the need arose. Whatever the difficulties, I hope that you will find solace and strength from the people who surround you.
