Because we all know or have read of the stories of children being taken away by the state that should not have been or birth mothers being coerced or birth fathers being lied to about the fact that they have a child. My dh and I want no part of it. I am well aware that there are many legitimate adoptions, but even if our adoption if legitimate, we would increase the demand by adopting here, and thereby increase the desire to create immoral corrupt adoptions.
