Adopting in the US is not as easy as it sounds either. We were waiting to adopt for a year and a half after approval, and still had not gotten a child or children when we moved to another state. We hd several calls, but none that panned out. When we were approved this last time, we were on the foster/adopt list for almost a year before we finally recieved a call to foster a little boy. I am happy to say that we are now the proud adoptive parents to 3 sibling boys (finalized in Sept). However, I can also tell you that we would have had a child from another country much more quickly, and been able to adopt him or her without having to wait on the court, and bio mom appealing, etc. I wouldn't trade my boys for the world! However, if we adopt again, we will probably adopt a baby or go out of country (although I am not sure we could ever afford it). Blessings,
