Echinacea
My friend has twin girls who were three in Oct. She is interested
in using echinacea to treat their colds. What is a safe dosage to give these girls? They
weigh about 25-30 lbs. Also are there any side effects?
With regard to children and colds, I would far rather see moms look
toward prevention of colds thru feeding their kids a vegan diet. Since animal proteins
tend to suppress the immune system, this gives kids the best chance of avoiding colds
completely. Keep in mind that there are side effects from any medication. In any case,
cow's milk should be avoided completely. I'd also recommend reading Michael Klaper's book,
Pregnancy, Children and the Vegan Diet and Charles Attwood's Dr. Attwood's
Low-Fat Prescription For Kids.
