If having an enlarged heart isn't that big of a deal, then how come when you look on the internet you find all sorts of statistics of people who have died. For example, 50 percent are not alive after 5 years and 25 percent of the remaining are not alive after 10 years. The loved one in my case has "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy" and has high blood pressure, though is on beta blockers for his high blood pressure. What can you tell us about this since his doctor is not being very helpful... does he have to abstain from physical activity and what type of diet should he be on?
Thank you very much!
