Cardiac calcium scoring uses a special X-ray test called computed tomography (CT) to check for the buildup of calcium in plaque on the walls of the coronary arteries. When there is no plaque, the coronary arteries do not normally contain calcium, a sign of coronary artery disease.

A reversal lifestyle (which is not just the diet alone) has been shown to reduce the amount of plaque, so it is likely that following the program will result in lower calcium score.

Heredity, other medical conditions, age and gender are factors that complicate the issue, so it isn't possible to predict what will happen in any single individual.
