Hi Ricardo,

After five years on the program following Dr E program very faithfully, I have got to say that I am in agreement with you about being addicted to the diet...It is a great addiction to have!

I differ with you as to bread, even whole grain. Haven't touched it and am afraid that it might be gateway for weight gain if you can't control it. I also lump pasta in this category as well.

Have you tried air popped corn? I make a big bowl every night in the popper (the Presto Popper works best) and sprinkle on it a teaspoon of nutritional yeast. The pop corn seems to add alot of bulk.

Like you I eat a lot of fruit and my numbers and Triglycerides are excellent. However I agree with Dr P and try to limit fruits when I can.

Although I love black beans as well, I do change my bean type and vegetable loading with it. I find the most filling bean dish to be one that is stew like, loaded with great spices and a rich variety of vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, peppers, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, etc whole plum tomatoes as the base and when in season butternut spice) and chick peas and or kidney beans. Sometimes I even crush the chick peas and add the kidney beans which gives the stew a sweet taste and a thicker consistency. If you haven't tried this, give it a try and see if it helps.

Good luck with it and congrads on your terrific result.

Best,

Herman
