EarthSave, in addition to being an effective educational forum, is an exceptional place to form relationships, socialize and collaborate with like minded people. My progressive social life has expanded exponentially since I got involved in EarthSave activities in the Long Island area. The organization is not, as some believe, a collection of militant vegans. It is populated by an assortment of environmentalists, vege/flexetarians, musicians, business people, professionals, athletes and health minded people and a whole lot more. Most of the people in my chapter are not vegan but interested in making positive changes in their lives and the life of their community. Vegetarians, etc. need not feel isolated. There is a vibrant community that exists all over the country, waiting for open minded folks to get involved. “Involved” need be nothing more than your presence at EarthSave (or other such organizations) events and activities.
