Before I had my first green smoothie, I thought the taste would be horrible. After all, how could anything liquid with a dark green color be delicious? Since taking one of Chef AJ’s classes, I have been adding cocoa and fresh mint leaves to my green smoothies. I sometimes make my smoothie the evening before I go to work and freeze it, and then I can grab it on my way out the door. I defrost it at room temperature and eat or drink it when the consistency is like soft-serve ice cream or a thick milkshake. It tastes like mint chocolate ice cream (but better!). It energizes me while I’m at work.
I love spreading the word on the benefits of drinking green smoothies so I entered a contest at work and won a prize!
