You're an inspiration, Dr Jacobson! :-)
Ive been vegan going on 3 decades, and it does bother me when someone says they're vegan, then goes on to list all the ways they make exceptions. It's like saying, I'm faithful to my mate, oh except when I'm out of town once a month. You either are or you aren't.
As for people who do eat vegan but use animals in clothing, buy products tested on animals, etc. Many of those people simply need to be educated that there ARE plenty of compassionate options. As for the ones who could care less about those options, then yes, let's please call them a plant based eater. They have not earned the honor of being called a vegan.
I think my comments got crossed...this was meant for Pam Popper & Glen Merzer's book. My comment for this book is that I very much enjoyed the author's talk at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo. It was clear he is an expert on this topic. And he has a delightful accent & sense of humor!
Aloha!! Mahalo!! :-)

You quote Dr. Fuhrman, but he not only sells vitamin pills, he also sells DHA.
I sometimes are so amused how unaware (or don't care) people are about these conflicts.
I can't see how to delete my comment. On reflection I think it may be mean spirited.
Hi John, I have been changing my views recently on how I eat. I would love to be a part of this program if you ever bring it to Ohio! Count me in!
