My name is Wonder and currently I live in Fort Bragg, CA. My passion is growing organic vegetables. I have been working on organic farms for many years now, traveling all over the USA as well as other countries to do it. Being a vegetarian for 27 years and a raw foodist for two, I have come to believe that it's not only what we put into our body but how it's grown as well.... and where... and by whom! You can certainly be vegan but if you are eating non-organic apples grown in Chile you can still change many more things about your eating habits that would better serve mother Earth. it is my desire, as vegetarianism and veganism become more popular, to teach people how to transition to these types of diets. My own path has taught me much but it has been a slow journey, with no guides to help me along. (I turned vegetarian at age 16 in New York.... not a popular choice back then!). I want to help people who have the desire but lack the know-how to become vegetarians.... healthy vegetarians! I am for hire if you know of anyone needing this service!!
Jennifer, thank you for your extremely well written, well thought out, compassionate thoughts regarding veganism. Much of what you says parallels my journey into veganism which started at the age of 16 and has recently gone the "raw" route two years ago. Your writings are just what I have always thought but was never able to convey in such a manner as you just did, so again, thank you! Namaste!
