I have the book and am just pages from finishing it. Extremely balanced reporting and very moving. I am already vegan; for my health and the health of the planet primarily although the hideous nature in which animals are now raised disgusts me; but this book still moved me. Strange that the production and sale of a product injurious to the health of our society and planet is not considered terror against our people...only exposing the crime of factory farming is terror. Very backwards. But not to worry I read just this morning that science is now capable of producing meat without animals in a test tube and it should be on the market in a few years once they get the flavor right. That is the truth and not a joke. They don't tell us about radiated food and I am quite certain this will be sold as farm raised meat without disclosure as well. Eat wisely.
That's wonderful...for Pasadena. When I go into my Whole Foods store in Portland OR I find very little in the prepared foods section I can eat. Even the rice and beans have oil and sometimes sugar added to them! And lots of stuff has cream added to it. Cream! Why must Whole Foods adulterate all of the simple foods? I don;t get it. I see the head of Whole Foods praising McDougall but then the food is very very anti-McDougall abd unhealthy. Well...I guess Pasadena is a start but it's not bleeding over to Portland anytime soon I fear.

Ordered this e-book and used the recipes from this book exclusively for Thanksgiving this year. The best ever. I highly recommend this book...and not just for Thanksgiving. The Groovy Onion Gravy will become a regular part of our food repertoire year round. The best gravy I have ever had.
Had to make a few small alterations to the recipes since we are avid McDougallers but the alterations were very small and easy. Thanks for putting this book on your site.
