I tried this recipe tonight and my husband said that if I want to turn him into a vegetarian, I'm going about it the right way!
I ran into the hiccup that Phil mentioned, the recipe doesn't mention WHEN to add the lentils. I added them at the end - even after the 'bread crumbs' (I toasted some rolled oats and ran them thru the food processor).
I used 'couscous seasoning' in place of the cumin, etc., which was good but it made the mixture VERY spicy. I don't have a potato masher but I used a food processor for the lentils, etc.
Yum!!
Hi Guys,
Thank you for noticing! I will update the recipe right now... good eyes :)
The lentil burger itself sounds delicious, but for those that are vegan, you should be aware that King's Hawaiian rolls are not vegan. The ingredient list says they contain milk and eggs.
VeganCyclist... good addition! Thanks for the info!
