Jennifer - thank you so much for a well written and probably "the best" explanation I've read. We've been mostly vegan for almost 20 years and your article brought me to tears it's so well written.
Actually Jesus was a vegetarian. He was a man of peace and taught only peaceful and compassionate ways towards man and those who shared the earth with us. Don't forget that the bible was compiled in the fourth century -(long time after Jesus was here and was controlled ultimately by fallible man)
The bible states no shellfish and only scaled fish can be eaten....but the bible also states to not eat 2-hoofed animals, such as pig or deer......but Christians do.....
I agree with Jennifer, nothing with a face gets eaten in our home...we can heal our world with compassionate living and eating :)

14 years ago I had a past life regression with Dr Weiss, and it truly was life-changing. It was not a private session, but an Omega weekend retreat. Not only did I get to touch on a few different lifetimes from my past, I also was given the opportunity to see my Dad, who had passed away a few years before. Not only was that wonderful and unbelievable, but my Dad introduced me to this incredibly pure white luminescence light .... that I knew to be God.
Bill, if you look at the guy he is nothing but a picture of health compared to his old self. If one feeds his body the foods the body is designed to eat, such as plant foods - amazing and beautiful things happen to one's body. He's alive and doing well. 20 pounds of what he was carrying was most likely water, as our bodies retain water when we drink coffee, eat acidic foods such as dairy and meat and basically brutalize our systems with junk. We've been vegan/vegetarians with 80% of our foods plant based for 20 years and I haven't had a cold, flu or any sickness in almost as long. No doctor visits for this healthy 54 year old.

Great story, and just shows you not only the benefits of a veggo or preferably vegan diet, but that there are people out there waiting for someone to help them - as the article said, serendipity, and the restaurant owners recognising an opportunity - that's why i am always ready to open my mouth and let people know the health, ecological and animal compassion benefits of changing
Unless there was medical intervention (such as liposuction) these claims look bogus. Losing 130 lbs. in 42 days equates to over 3 lbs. per day loss. (And the notion that "20 lbs. is water" is ludicrous.) In order to lose weight, you need to lose body fat, period. To burn 1 lb. of body fat requires 3500 calories above and beyond the work needed to burn the energy in a day's worth of food. At three lbs. per day this is 10,500 --PER DAY. Even at 1000 cals / minute (which is pretty extreme, maybe not even possible for someone in bad shape) this would mean 10 1/2 hours of medium to heavy cardio, daily. Sorry, I just don't buy it. Show me the daily caloric intake / expenditure / weight.

Articles like this just put vegetarians and vegans up for ridicule. This article cannot be taken seriously.

I have read all of Dr. Brian's books and have recorded his relaxation and regression script on my mobile and have been listening to it everyday for past few weeks in the hope of an experience . I do get deeply relaxed, no doubt, but so far, a past life experience is till eluding me. Since both of you are fortunate to have experienced it, please advise me . I live in Mumbai, India. If you know somebody in India, who might have attended Dr. Weiss's sessions, please do let me know. I'd greatly appreciate any other helpful tip .
