How do you feel that more than 5,000 schools in the United States today have contracts with fast-food companies to provide food for their cafeterias and/or vending machines? Is that the food you want your kids eating day in and day out?

Soft drink outfits currently give millions to school districts in order to secure exclusive rights to sell their products in schools. A school district in Colorado actually requires teachers to push Coca-Cola consumption in classrooms, whenever sales fall below their contractual obligations.

Is this what you, as a parent, are sending your child to school to be subjected to?

The average child in America is eating 5 pounds of sugar every 10 days. That helps explain a lot of the obesity, tooth decay, diabetes and other problems which are epidemic today.
