We have a nesting mallard in the bushes in our front yard. There are about 10-12 eggs in the nest. The "mother " duck rarely leaves the nest. I have tried to feed her but no go. We live in Elk Grove,California, across the street from a protected wetland. How in the world are the duckings going to make it across the street? Any suggestions?
