We recently had a male and female mallard decide to visit us in the late afternoons for about two weeks. We live in a very suburban neighborhood a couple of blocks from the ocean. They come by every afternoon at the same time. I can't figure why they would be here. There is no close water (pond or stream) for them to be nesting at. Has anyone else had wild mallards live in thier back yard? We have been putting out fresh water and food. Can anyone tell us if this is normal behavoir for mallards?
