Mayuma, I'm sooooo glad your kitty is doing so much better! Thank you for posting your experience.... it makes me feel good to know that my advice is helping you and your kitten. I wish my daughters would appreciate me that much! :-) I've used that diet on all my cats for about 10 years, and will be starting my Mishka on it in a few days..... she will be 4 weeks old on Sat. I've never had a cat this young start on it, so I'm really excited. All my other cats were over 3 years old before I heard of Pat, went to her lecture, bought her book, and put them on the diet. It is so much easier than when I first started... in those days Pat McKay had not yet started commercially preparing the foods. I used to buy the raw organic meat from her and had to grind the meat and veggies myself.... ruined two food processors in the process! I will continue to give Mishka her formula for some of her meals. When I went into Pat's store to buy Mishka's food (which is even more ground up and almost a liquid)Pat reminded me not to mix it with the milk formula, as it is difficult to digest two proteins in the same meal. Since Mishka has not eaten any solids yet, I also bought a small syringe and will start out feeding her the raw diet that way... till she knows how to lap it up from a dish. I'm so glad you were brave enough to take the plunge with raw food. I also will not vaccinate Mishka..... Pat has a good book on that also. Many adult strays have come my way over the years, and I couldn't afford to have all of them vaccinated and felt guilty. But, I tell you, the ones who were NOT vaccinated lived the longest and were the healthiest of the bunch.... now I know why! Connie
